How come I can't update my twitter account from my phone?

Written by admin May 29

I have a Sprint LG Rumor
I have tried multiple times to activate it. But it never works.
Why is this?

I have a Sprint LG Rumor, too, and I had problems with this, too. I don't pay for the data plan so I don't use my phone's web brower or an app to update, I use SMS.

Go here to link you're phone to twitter: http://twitter.com/devices

When entering your phone number, don't forget to put a +1 in front of your area code, so it should look like this: +10005556666

Then, text the activacation code to 40404.

Refresh the twitter devices page. (http://twitter.com/devices)

It may take a couple minutes (so refresh every minute or so), but the screen should show your phone number at the top, have a drop down menu for asking if you want your device updates on, and a sleep mode.

Its probally because your phone company's web browser hasnt set up all of those details as yet or your phone doesnt have all of the finctions like a PDA to do that because I can do that on my blackberry but I cant with my regular cell phone.
