Bosco Anthony From Front to Back
My mind was blown yesterday… I received a phone call from Bosco Anthony expecting to conduct a short 30-minute interview about him and his company. What I received instead was the best hour and a half marketing and online entrepreneurship lesson of my life! At the age of 26, Bosco Anthony is already a true business professional who has the knowledge and tools to grow your business, guaranteed.
Â
His Company
Â
Fresh off the blocks, Bosco Anthony started his online consulting business, BoscoAnthony.com, less than two and a half months ago in October 2008. Modestly referring to himself as a Business Growth Strategist instead of CEO, Bosco Anthony is dedicated to business owners who want to expand and accelerate their business.
Â
His assortment of professional experience allows Bosco to be extraordinarily versatile in the services he provides. Everything from business development to sales training and offline marketing to search engine optimization, Bosco Anthony will grow your business. He already has 33 regular clients and receives 15 new prospects every month. Each one of his clients approach him the same way, âThis is my business, make it better.â
Â
His Personal History
Â
Born and raised in Tanzania, Africa, Bosco grew up from humble beginnings. At the optimistic age of 19, he moved to Vancouver, Canada where he currently resides. Upon arriving over almost half-a-world from home, Bosco received his first job at a call center. During his first month on the job, he failed to make a single sale. This fruitless month made Bosco realize he had to change. Bosco stated, âYou have to be outgoing, you have to represent your company!â He managed to sell over $1 million of timeshare properties that year.
Â
Seven years and several jobs later, Bosco realized something else. By being true to his word and working hard, he could start his own successful business, BoscoAnthony.com.
Â
3 Promises to Himself
Â
Prior to beginning operations, Bosco Anthony made three promises to himself and his business:
Â
- Get on top of Google for free. With the ultimate goal of writing a book about his entrepreneurial success, it is very important that he not spend any money on avertising.
- Be open and adaptable. Bosco Anthony’s business model revolves around the concept of accepting and adapting to change. He reads several hours every day to sustain his primary competitive advantage, his knowledge.
- Eventually automate his entire business. Efficiency is key to running a successful business. By automating his business, Bosco will be able to spend more time satisfying his customers.
Â
To sum up these three promises, he enlightened me with a quote by Brian Tracy, “Your biggest asset is your learning potential and your biggest resource is your time.”

Top 3 Traffic Generating Tactics
Â
BoscoAnthony.com is only a few months old, yet it receives anywhere from 200-500 daily visits and has an Alexa ranking of about 1.4 million (October 2008 Alexa ranking was 29 million). Bosco credits the explosive growth of his website to three main tactics.
Â
- Article writing and sharing. As part of Bosco’s daily routine, he writes articles relative to his business and posts them on sites like ArticlesBase.com, EzineArticles.com and eHow.com.
- Social networking. Something Bosco really emphasizes is that people are doing business on social networking sites like Facebook.com, Bebo.com and Twitter.com. These sites are no longer just places for friends.
- Multimedia. Bosco described multimedia as the next golden nugget for creeping up Google’s rankings. Audio and video will be a huge factor in the future BoscoAnthony.com.
Â
Top 3 Challenges for Small Business
Â
When a small business runs into a wall, it has to climb over that wall to get to the next level. Bosco elaborated on the three main challenges small businesses must overcome.
Â
- Mental discipline. Procrastination is the #1 killer of business. Small business owners, especially, need to sustain their mental discipline in order to be successful.
- Fear of commitment. Many of BoscoAnthony.com’s potential clients come to him and say they want to improve their businesses but they are not willing to pay much. But he assures them, “If you don’t fix the problems, you will lose money.”
- Guidance. The last challenge that many businesses face is they do not have sufficient guidance. You wouldn’t travel in a foreign country without a map, treat your business the same way.
Â
Customers Should Know
Â
Bosco Anthony was a true gentleman during our conversation and more than that, he genuinely wanted to help. He is a down-to-earth, stand-up guy who will cater to the needs of any business. From the tone of his voice to the content of his words, I could tell Bosco lives an enthusiastic life and runs his business the same way. Take action with your business! www.BoscoAnthony.com
