PLEASE HELP,, FESTIVAL HALL – MELBOURNE?

Written by admin Mar 27

hi there,
I’m currently 14 years old and im going to a concert in Melbourne at Festival Hall..
I’ve been to one there once before with my friends, but as none of them can make it this time, im meeting up with some friends that i’ve made over myspace/twitter..

my mum is already weary of me going because she doesn’t know the people i’m meeting up with (i’m from tasmania) so she’s arranged for my uncle to pick me up. But he’s picking me up on his way back from work which is about 11ish..
last time i went to the concert it finished around midnight, so i would miss out on like an hour of it! D:

I’m trying to pursue mum to let me catch a cab home, but she doesn’t want me to because it will be midnight and it’s melbourne etc…
BUT I’m thinking that if there is another option other than the ones i’ve already said, she’ll let me go and stay there until it finishes…

does anyone have any ideas?
I can’t catch trams/trains/buses back because i’m staying like an hour away from the hall (Bacchus Marsh)
And i can’t stay in a hotel because i’m under 18 and unable to check in D:

pleasepleaseplease help! i am reeeally desperate to go to this concert!!

thanks..

Hi-well the options u have are really limited and ur uncle is by far the most practicable/safe n option considering u want to go to Bacchus Marsh coz to pay for a cab would cost an arm n leg $150?Plus no saying if u will get one at midnight.anyway.
OK it might shorten u concert but is there any chance ur uncle can pick u up say 11.30 pm hmm? So worth a try asking if not then sorry to say ,no other safe option Good Luck ♥

hmmmm…now, remember you are 14 and safety is paramount…Melbourne at that time of night and around there is not safe for you…especially in the Spencer St and King St area…do not go anywhere near those streets.

Really – the only safe option is to go to the concert with an adult…and one that you KNOW in real llife…not just over the internet…

It really is not safe for you to be meeting up with these people….you dont know them…they can be anyone or anything……they can be nice on the internet …but you just do not know what they are like………….not safe at all.!!

Be clear about this….Melbourne IS NOT SAFE for you at that time , anywhere !!! you are only 14 !!!!v do not do this…do not risk it…………..It is not wise !! Maybe you will just have to miss this concert….there will be others in the future….just dont go to this one….be safe, be wise…dont go !

All your options you list are just stupid ! they are totally not safe and out of the question !!!! Do not even think of them !
